Stroll through 192 hectares (470 acres) of parkland at Arboretum Lussich, a scenic area offering numerous walking routes and information about local plant life. Donated to the state in 1979, the arboretum features an array of native and exotic plant life, with roughly 400 foreign species, and 70 from Uruguay, in a collection that includes cypresses, pines, junipers, and eucalyptuses.   • As it happened, I was given an surprisingly detailed tour by a friend who knew the arboretum very well. There are an amazingly broad range of trees that are non-native, but have flourished there.  more »
  • 60 minutes is good to check out the grounds - 2 hours if you want a full hike. Family friendly, no dogs. Free.  more »
  • Worth the stroll, free entrance! For a bus stop you have to walk 2km. Limited information, but good trails and viewpoints. Lots of different trees.
