  • This was a nice little stop in Winterset. I learned a lot about John Wayne and how incredibly thoughtful he was. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

  • John Wayne has been one of my favorite actors since I was a kid. Visiting the birthplace museum was a fun experience and provided me with some historical insights on the big screen icon. For John Wayne fans, this is a must see. It's a good half day excursion that you can easily combine with of self-guided tour of the Bridges of Madison County.
  • Nice museum. Looking forward to coming back when the new part is open so to see the items we were anxious to see but weren't on display. There was a discounted rate during this time. The birthplace house was wonderful. The people working the museum and the house were very nice and friendly.
