Standing at a height of 170 m (555 ft), Washington Monument represents the world's tallest structure made entirely from stone. Constructed in two stages between 1848 and 1884 as a memorial to George Washington, the monument at the time of its completion briefly seized the crown as the tallest building in the world. See the view for yourself by taking the tower's elevator to the top, where you'll find a small museum and a sweeping panorama of Washington, D.C. To ensure that you get to see the interior, reserve tickets ahead of time online (for a fee), or pick them up in person for no cost at the monument's lodge nearby. Worth the trip to the top of the Monument. Must get tickets in advance. So interesting how it was built and how states are represented. View of all directions is captivating.

This Monument is way bigger in actual than expected. Amazing place to visit in DC and mark it in your wish list. I visited during Cherry Blossom 🌸 festival and enjoyed kite festival as well. Couldn’t go at the top as it needs to have tickets in advanced. This is located in between Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. Flags around the monument make it more beautiful. Just visit, enjoy and make memories.

I haven't been to the monument since I was a child about 10 years old. It was such a beautiful view 16 years later as an adult. The size surpasses anything in the Washington DC area, the way the sun hits it in the afternoon and the overall history of the are will blow you away. You can also go inside during business hours and enjoy some exhibits.
