From the U.S. Air Force's first jet fighter to history's fastest plane, see the development of flight on a grand scale at Museum of Aviation. One of the largest of its kind in the United States, the museum displays a sizeable collection of civilian and military aircrafts and pays homage to the heroes and pioneers of aviation. Visit the museum for the chance to see both famous and very rare airplanes and helicopters, such as the Epps 1912 Monoplane, the iconic Huey, or the F-80C Shooting Star. Don't miss the SR-71A Blackbird, the very plane that set the world speed record back in 1976. The museum also features a cafe and gift shop, and admission is free. A visit to Museum of Aviation represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Warner Robins trip itinerary builder website to plot your vacation.

  • Great place to see how our brave military men and women protected our country during war times. We arrived too late to see all of it but the staff were so kind and let us stay a bit longer.

  • I am from the UK and was doing a road trip to New England with a friend from Tampa. We called at Warner Robins air museum on Monday 20 June only to find it closed. No sign of anyone and phones not...

  • An awesome museum - a must-see! This site is located on the southeast corner of the Robbins Parkway and Oak Avenue intersection. The entrance is south of the buildings. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot in front of the complex of buildings. There is no cost to the museum and there are volunteers inside each of the buildings. You can visit the buildings in any order but I would suggest going to the 3 stories one directly in front of the parking lot first. It has a beautiful foyer, gift shop, and an information desk where you can get suggestions on what you may want to focus on during your visit. The museum is actually a set of 5 buildings focused on different items. You could easily spend hours or days visiting each of these buildings. The main 3 story building focuses on the historical aspect and spans 3 stories. The building to the south houses the Vietnam era. The courtyard in the middle of the building was being used to launch rockets on the day I visited. The two buildings on the east of the courtyard house various displays and some works-in-progress. As an added bonus, there are planes on display outside the main buildings including a B-52, Presidential plane, and more. Overall, it is a very nice museum and a must-see for any aviation enthusiast or American history buff. I highly recommend this for any visitor in the area.
  • Great experience! Free admission. Granted donations are welcomed. Some awesome planes are going here. So much history. Great displays and exhibits. My kids really enjoyed themselves here. Oh and FREE admission if i didn't mention that before.
