Experience what early life was like for rock-and-roll legend Elvis Presley, and see firsthand how his childhood influenced his musical genius at Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum. Here, you can walk through the small house where "The King" was born and lived until he was 13, when his family moved to Memphis in search of a better life. You can also go inside the Assembly of God church where the Presley family worshipped often and where Elvis first encountered gospel music. This genre appeared within many of his famous songs later in his career. The museum itself displays a variety of Elvis memorabilia, such as jumpsuits that he wore during performances. Check out the gift shop and purchase some exclusive Elvis souvenirs that are only available here. We really enjoyed our visit here. Everyone was so friendly and informative. The grounds were well kept. The home, church, and chapel experiences were so neat. I came here about 30 years ago as a child and I obviously appreciated it more this time as an adult. To see where Elvis was born and where his family lived and where they came from was a really neat experience.

I didn’t make it to town in time for an official inside tour so I went after hours and I think it may have been better. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I’m glad no one was around cause I think I got some great pics. I was able to take my time and really take in the awe-Inspiring beauty of it all. I played a little Elvis on my phone as I walked around the grounds and it was perfection.
