Enjoy panoramic views of Seattle and the surrounding water from 184 m (605 ft) in the air at Space Needle. A symbol of the city since it was built for the World’s Fair in 1962, the tower features a 360º observation deck. Ride the elevator to the top for unobstructed views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Elliott Bay, and the surrounding islands, before stopping for a meal at the rotating SkyCity restaurant. Take a jacket with you when visiting the tower, as the observation deck is known for windy conditions. Plan your visit to Space Needle and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Seattle road trip tool.

A truly exciting experience. Not your everyday type or outing. This was especially fun for us because we were staying at the Hyatt House Hotel directly across from The Space Needle and our rooms... more »

It is an overpriced tourist attraction. We did have fun though. I preferred when the restaurant was there. It is no longer there. They have a cafe. It is pretty cool that you can see through the floor with the newer renovations. It is not something I will do again. It was nice but not worth all the money they charge for it now. When I went prior to renovations. I was able to go to the restaurant, got valet parking, and a good brunch meal for about 100 dollars all together for 3 people. This time I spent 132$ just for tickets and an additional 36 dollars for valet without the brunch special included. It was fun but totally not worth the experience for me. It is not financial friendly.

I used to live in the Seattle area, and I have visited many times. I had never been to the space needle because it didn’t seem interesting to me. I recently got talked into going with some friends wanted to see it, and I loved it. It was a very pleasant surprise. The views are great. We went during dusk and it was beautiful to see the sun set on the sound. The glass floor is a lot of fun. I definitely recommend.
