See a church famous for its mosaics, labyrinths, stained-glass windows, and both medieval and contemporary furnishings when you visit Grace Cathedral. As you approach the towering cathedral, be sure to walk the first labyrinth before making your way to the doors. Before you enter, note that the doors are a famed replica of Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise. Once inside, you can walk the second labyrinth, or wander through the cathedral to admire the murals by De Rosen and the 66 stained-glass windows created by a variety of artists. If you time it right, you may be able to hear the 44-bell carillon, three organs, or one of the men's and boys' choirs. Stop by the shop for prayer books, music, and gifts, or grab a drink from the downstairs coffee shop. To take a tour, it's best to sign up in advance. Printed visitor guides are available in several languages. Put Grace Cathedral on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our San Francisco road trip planner.

Amazing building. Great church. The grand scale and beautiful stained glass windows are really something. Make sure you have your camera. It's beautiful

I’ve never been here for church services or anything but I have been here for 1) yoga in the labyrinth, which is a beautiful wonderful magical experience usually led by Darren Main and Rev Jude 2) wandering around peacefully with my mom checking out the stained glass and sitting in the gardens in the square across the street 3) I’ve gone by myself to stand under this wonderful art piece they had hanging up called Jacobs Ladder which fascinated me and was pretty enchanting. This place is one of my San Francisco Comfort places and is a great place for a peaceful reprieve or reenergizing.
