Hawk Haven Vineyard and Winery, Rio Grande

Overview: Nice Place to chill and relax with glass of local produced wine. Purchased $25 ( per person) winery tour package what is definitely NOT worth it. What I Liked: - Big Parking Lot - Souvenir Glass - Nice outside area - Food on the site What i didn't like - The Tour - would be more better if the guide spoke louder, wine tasting was fine, but overview - definitely not worth the money. The whole tour is exactly in the same place where the seating area is and you can walk around. - The service - needs to be improved, since we walked and told the front desk we are here for the tour, none really explained us what to do - just have a sit outside. Tour was 1 pm and we were sitting there from 12:45 to 1:15 and none explained us the tour is little behind, it is going to be a tour or not. - Food plate that was served as included in the tour ( we paid for 2 tickets), was exactly the same amount of food what the person on the next table received - same package, same tour, 1 person only. - he paid $25, we paid $50 for the same amount of food. Would I Go There Again: Yes Would I recommend ? Yes, but don't get the tour.

Hawk Haven has always been my favorite winery to visit! They have amazing wines, not only for New Jersey, but they stand up to wines anywhere. I love that the tasting gives you a wide range to try, plus the tasting guides are all super friendly and take the time to explain each wine to you. They don't just pour and walk away like some other wineries in the area. The events are great as well! I love to grab a flight and listen to the live music on the weekends. Can't wait for the Rootstock concerts this summer!!! The rustic feel of the farm is very inviting, as is the staff. Laid back, casual atmosphere is just what I'm looking for when I'm on vacation! Can't recommend them enough! And in addition to the delicious wines, you have to try the grilled cheese!! AMAZING!
