Loved it, pity we didn't arrive earlier and do more of the trail. Nevertheless I got my steps in walking from one side to the other and back. Highly recommended if your in the area.

The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park, the world's longest elevated pedestrian bridge. It will take roughly 35/40min to walk from one side to other side. So have your walking shoes and a water bottles ready. Few benches are there to sit and rest. Food truck and washrooms are located in each side. If you are starting from Poughkeepsie side, you can park your vehicle in the car park. Limited spaces so better to go early. No need to buy tickets for the Walkway except during the special events. Park is open everyday from 7am to sunset. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery while having a nice walk. They are providing electric trams for people with mobility challenges during spring, summer and fall. Also you can rent a bike.

This is something that we've wanted to do for a while now. Glad to have finally gotten the chance to visit and take the walk across the Hudson. We took the 1 minute elevator ride up to the walkway. The views were amazing. This is a perfect time of year to see the fall foliage. The walkway wasn't too crowded. It's a nice place to take a casual stroll while enjoying wonderful views.
