Oregon Zoo reviews
The enclosures are made for the comfort and health of the animals but somehow that makes the hunt all the more charming, beautifully landscaped, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

I have always enjoyed going to this zoo. I've lived in the area my whole life and this is a regular Saturday afternoon activity in my family. The price for admittance is a bit high, but if you have a membership it pays for itself in 10 visits. They are constantly improving the zoo and enhancing the experiences. My favorite exhibits are the otters, the painted dogs, and the polar bears. They just got two new spotted otters from Africa who are very cute and playful. And the polar Bear exhibit was recently updated creating a much more bear friendly environment. The staff is helpful and patient. They are highly knowledgeable about the animals in their zoo and enthusiastic to talk about any animal you ask about. The cost of the food is kind of high for the quality and quantity. And it is unfortunate that the zoo lights cost extra even with a membership. They didn't used to, I understand it's necessary, but it is unfortunate.
Clean, well maintained facilities. Animals appear to be healthy and well cared for. Good variety of species. Lots of information. Habitats are well done. Like the natural setting. Some species names might be obsolete. Parking and entry fees required but are reasonable.
