  • A lot of Pittsburgh history , that even natives didn’t know about ! A great way to spend a few hours on a weekend , after hitting the Strip for breakfast . Reasonable pricing , and a lot of fun ...  more »

  • This museum was a lot of fun. My only complaint is that there was WAY too much to see in one afternoon. The exhibits are extremely diverse and detailed. I would like to go back to really focus on the stuff I had to gloss over due to lack of time. Parking was affordable and not too far away from the museum. The admission price also seemed pretty fair. There are a couple of really excellent kids' spaces that appealed to all of my children (oldest: 11, youngest, 13 months). We also enjoyed taking the stairs between floors (which was like a museum in and of itself) and getting all the stamps and the prize at the end. There's a small snack bar with various snacks, drinks and light meals available for purchase, along with tables and chairs for enjoying these snacks. Gift shop has a variety of items related to the exhibits at varying price points. This is a great museum. Everyone in the family should find an exhibit that interests them. Just don't expect to see EVERYTHING in one trip.
  • Be prepared for an all-day trip to this museum. It is HUGE! It is multiple floors of interactive, informative, and fun displays. There is something for everyone- from the children's section for our toddler to the sports section for my husband to the Vietnam section for me. Also, the Mr. Rogers display is really cool and nostalgic. I'd recommend this place to anyone who visits Pittsburgh! Admission is very decently priced considering how vast this place is!
