Always a fun trip. Awesome collection of dinosaurs. If you have a Carnegie library card, you can get free passes to the museum from the library more »
Expansive exhibits, friendly staff, somewhat reasonably admission fee. Admission is $18 per person but allows access to multiple museums. The exhibits were very interesting, with gemstones, dinosaurs, Greek sculptures, Egyptian and American Indian artifacts. The natural history section was a bit sad with all the taxidermy animals. Museum didn’t flow very well, without the map you’d be lost entirely, as I was.
Wonderful museum! Plenty to see - way too much to take in in one day. The lower level dinosaur exhibit was pretty crowded and there were a lot of kids. The architecture hall, as well as the second and third floors were significantly quieter and less crowded. I recommend going on a Saturday - it seemed like there were fewer people the later it was in the day.
