  • I have been reading the special agent Pendergast series and the Dakota is mentioned several times since it's his home in NY. The Dakota is a wonderful English Victorian building, it really looks from....  more »
  • Nice stop if you’re in the area, or have a route planned that takes you by the building. No plaque unfortunately, but was able to get some nice pictures from across the street, near Central Park.  more »

  • This is quite a building with lovely architecture. I’ve seen it many times in photos and documentaries on John Lennon. But it is really something to see it in real life and a lot larger than it looks on TV. It is very large and majestic, plus it is the place where John Lennon lived in the 1970s and place where he was unfortunately murdered in December 1980. Make sure to go into central park and see the Strawberry Fields forever monument to John Lennon. the entrance to this is across from the Dakota building and is very easy to find.
  • Amazing place, I am a huge fan of The Dakota for two reason "Rosemary's Baby" by Roman Polanski and John Lennon . The architecture of this building is beyond amazing and there are many details to the building itself. I would recommend taking a picture from across the street and in the middle. Also don't be afraid to ask for more information on regards to the building.
