  • The theater is an excellent building with very comfortable seats. Located in the heart of the Times Square. Too bad the show we saw was boring.  more »
  • The Lyric is an outstanding venue for a Broadway musical and the latest rendition by the Cirque de soliel group provided a enjoyable evening for all in our group. This was not a typical performance.....  more »

  • Went to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The play was spectacular and grander than I could ever imagine. The special effects were dazzling and downright magical. It must have taken hundreds of not thousands of hours to set up the theater for production. Even if you aren't a fan of Harry Potter, the play is worth seeing just for the special effects. Otherwise you have no excuse. The theater is wonderful and regal and reminds me of Lincoln Center. Restrooms and plentiful and available on multiple floors. Even the downstairs bathroom lobby is nice.
  • Their staff! I did not see an upset or stressed expression on any of them. Every single one, down to the bathroom attendant, was pleasant and exuded happiness. (Maybe because the play on the stage was Harry Potter!?) My overall assessment is that The Lyric Theater is expert at keeping the flow of people moving. I was towards the end of a long line waiting for the doors to open, but when they did, the line moved through security checks quickly and efficiently. The concession stands are dotted here and there so you can purchase your snacks and move through the crowds. The clean, well-ordered bathrooms had different doors for entering and exiting. No need to push your way through people waiting to enter when you are done. There was seating by the bathroom and in some areas outside the auditorium for waiting. The seats within were well-maintained and clean. The gift shop items are also available online and I notice they are different selection from any associated with the “Harry Potter: A History of Magic” museum exhibit.
