Admire masterpieces set against the backdrop of industrialization at Frick Collection. Housed in a historic Fifth Avenue mansion, the museum features industrialist Henry Frick's impressive collection of European paintings, sculptures, and 18th-century decor. Stroll through the well-preserved rooms lined with hundreds of works by some of Europe's most influential artists, including Francisco Goya, François Boucher, and El Greco. You also can view one of the largest collections of "art book" paintings in the world. Take the guesswork out of planning a New York City vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

Frick Collection reviews
Probably the best small museum in the world. The Borghese is fabulous also, but the Frick outshines it. The Jacquemard-Andre is wonderful also, but the Frick is miles ahead. I've been to the Frick 50.... more »
Wonderful collection. Smaller setting. Can actually stop, look, and enjoy the many pieces (unlike the busy, overcrowded larger museums). Highly recommend, especially for those that prefer smaller... more »
Exquisite collection of paintings, furniture and relics. The central courtyard is tranquil enough for you to want to read or have a picnic. Be aware there's no food allowed in the museum. This includes beverages of any sort. The garden courtyard is also the only place where you can touch things and take photographs. These rules are strictly enforced.
Walking around the museum, the Frick house, is an enchanting experience. The opulence highlights the beauty of the art pieces, from paintings and sculptures. Inside is an open garden area with fountain which is beautiful. On the first Friday of the month they host a special evening with free entry and talks on the history of the place and certain art pieces.
