  • We headed over to the park on the tramway and had a great morning - the views back to Manhattan are excellent and it is a unique way to see New York.  more »

  • Took the Roosevelt Island air tram across from Manhattan for the first time and was absolutely blown away by how worth it it was. Probably one of the most underrated places to visit in NYC. There's a ton of history and views of the city are amazing! Id recommend the air tram but you can also take the subway if you prefer, both cost the same, use your metro card. I'd spend a day or at least a few hours walking through the Four Freedoms park to the South then walk up along the west side of the island along the water then back down through the Main St and little area where there are some parks and little shops. You can also take a nice little picnic out there and lay out on the beautiful hills on a blanket and enjoy some great weather and views. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
  • What a unique park. The granite is immaculate and so are the linden trees lining the paths to the southern tip of the island/monument. Would make a great skateboarding area (don't).
