David H. Koch Theater, New York City

The David H. Koch Theater is a theater for ballet, modern and other forms of dance, part of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts located at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and 63rd Street in New York City, United States. Originally named the New York State Theater, the venue has been home to the New York City Ballet since its opening in 1964, the secondary venue for the American Ballet Theatre in the fall, and served as home to the New York City Opera from 1964 to 2011. The theater occupies the south side of the main plaza of Lincoln Center, opposite David Geffen Hall.

  • We saw Shanghai Ballet perform Swan Lake here. We were in the second balcony 3 rows back but still had clear view of the stage. Seats were comfortable and sound was great. Great architecture as well.....  more »

  • Courteous security staff and ushers. Audiences always appear to be happy to be here and the house is an outstanding venue to see ballet. Concessions, of course, exorbitantly priced but it is NYC.
  • I went to NYC Ballet and it was spectacular. I swear I started crying when I saw all the colors and all this beautiful art everywhere. I was never a man of arts but since then I was intrigued and I went out from the scientific bubble I was in to view what art has to offer for humanity. Overall it was amazing
