  • This is a great place to take children and spend a few hours. I’d suggest a stroller, starting in the top floor and working your way down. Dinosaurs and aquatic life is a must. Dioramas are super cool. Many people don’t realize the museum entrance fee is a “suggested donation” and you can essentially “pay what you wish!” So, if you’re looking to experience NYC on a budget, this is up there on the list. The staff is super kind and helpful. The food is decent in the cafeterias. The museum itself is maintained nicely and clean. We really enjoyed our time there.
  • Absolutely amazing museum. I was in awe when I first stepped inside and saw the dinosaur skeletons. That was my favorite exhibit, but they had more than a handful of other, exciting exhibits. In fact, they had literally everything you could think of on display. Turns out, the past million years of history cover just about everything haha. The museum is huge in its scale. It has ceilings that feel hundreds of feet high, and the building itself is beautifully designed. There are pieces of history ranging from the ancient Aztecs to sea creatures, and it's all artfully packed into every nook and cranny of this building. They have a nice cafe and gift shop as well. This is a MUST come to museum if you are in NYC. It's also free! Don't get tricked into paying the suggested price :).
