Begun in 1910, with architecture and gardens modeled on the Mediterranean Revival style, the estate was Deering's winter residence from 1916 until his death in 1925. Today, the museum and gardens attract visitors who are drawn by the villa's collection of antique furniture, tapestries, paintings, and decorative arts. The complimentary audio tour provides a great selection paced tool too explore this marvelous mansion. Tons of nooks and crannies to explore. The gardens are breathtaking and beautiful. Between the main building, the gazebo, and the gardens, there is no lack of photo opportunities. Spent hours exploring and enjoyed every minute.
