Must see · Specialty Museum · Landmark
Once Elvis Presley's private home--and the place he died in 1977 at age 42--Graceland now is a museum dedicated to the famous entertainer. The mansion sits on a large estate that opened to the public in 1982. Tour the 23-room house to see its opulent and often tacky decor, providing insight into the mind of one of the world's most beloved music icons. To suit his unusual tastes, Presley extensively modified the estate, most notably adding a wrought-iron gate shaped like a book of sheet music. Just a year before his death the singer converted one of the rooms into a recording studio, where he worked on his final two albums. • I'm not an Elvis fan but I'm married to one. GET THE BEST TOUR with the personal tour guide. You move past the lines directly to all the neat things. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour - my husband LOVED it. It is something you NEED to do at least once! The new buildings have such neat exhibits!
  • We visited on Saturday February 29, 2020 and did the VIP Ultimate tour. Our tour guide was Meredith and she was amazing. Super polite, knowledgeable, accommodating and made the experience worth the spend. We tried to tip her $20 and she said she could not accept tips! That is crazy as she provided a service and did it exceptionally well. Thank you!
