Once Elvis Presley's private home--and the place he died in 1977 at age 42--Graceland now is a museum dedicated to the famous entertainer. The mansion sits on a large estate that opened to the public in 1982. Tour the 23-room house to see its opulent and often tacky decor, providing insight into the mind of one of the world's most beloved music icons. To suit his unusual tastes, Presley extensively modified the estate, most notably adding a wrought-iron gate shaped like a book of sheet music. Just a year before his death the singer converted one of the rooms into a recording studio, where he worked on his final two albums. Spectacular! We took the VIP tour and had a great time. Our tour guy's name was Clint. He is amazing and gave us a very rich informative tour. It was so good that we want to bring a group of friends for a future visit. Hopefully we get to have him again. The mansion is gorgeous and well kept. All the details inside the house make you feel like you went back in time and you were visiting Elvis and his family. The grounds are beautiful. Impeccable landscaping. They added a whole new area where you can find museums, interactive photo booths, more & diverse gift shops, restaurants and bars. It's worth a visit. It feels like an Elvis Presley fan's Disneyland.

We can not say enough about this adventure. We originally gave the trip 4 hours. We ended up staying all day. The tour was given by Dee Dee who had a wealth of knowledge above what we ever expected. Thank you Dee Dee, so much for everything and we love the pictures too. We did the Ultimate VIP which included some amazing and magical opportunities. The children had just as much as the adults. We had a great meal at Vernon's which was a great plus. The shops were extremely reasonable priced which we had to get a few items.
