Very sad with low to no water. I'm sure this place was and could be amazing if the water was there. Feels like a post apocalyptic zone, and very dry out in the forest. One positive is there is very few people and nature seems to be taking back the area. Lots of wildlife to observe, be sure to bring binoculars.

We bring our dogs to Howard Prairie Lake to get their wiggles out. It is relatively quiet without too much people passing through if you prefer to not be crowded by others. In the winter time, we were able to walk in areas that are usually covered in water in the spring and summer. The phone reception is not the best in this area so plan accordingly.
