Check out the only ancient life-size Greek bronze statues that survive in the modern world, titled Victorious Youth, at The Getty Villa. The Villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum inspired the museum's classical architecture and landscaping. The villa has a vast library and enormous collection of works from Greek, Roman, and Etruscan civilizations. You can view 44,000 antiques dating as far back as 6,500 BCE. After you have examined the historical sculptures and other installations in the villa's gallery, take a walk through its gardens in the main courtyard and try the Mediterranean food at the cafe. • Such an absolute beautiful place. It was gorgeous really! All the art and gardens were amazing. Don't forget to get tickets online. They are free but it's timed entry so you have to have a ticket. I like the way they do that because it doesn't get too crowded.
  • One of my favorite museums on the West coast. Uniquely built on the hills overlooking the Pacific ocean, modeled after a historic Roman villa. The exhibits are varied and beautifully curated. I visit here several times a year. Great for couples, families or anyone who appreciate history and art. Paid parking but entry is free. I recommend you register online as they only allow a limited amount of visitors per day
