Great way to tour the Island while learning the history. Extra nice since we had a young person who wouldn’t have enjoyed walking up the hills but they really enjoyed the horses. more »

Great tour guide, entertaining. Waiting for out turn was the worst, hot, tons of people, and they want you there ahead of time. They tried cramming us 5 wide on first one when the other seats had 2-3 and wouldn't let one of us go to another seat, so we all got off and took next one. Other than that the tour was excellent and horses were impressively trained.

Leisurely trip through the scenic island and reliving the past We visited Mackinac Island last week of June 2015. The carriage tour is a welcome change from the automotive wagon tours in other places. They provide a guided tour throughout the island which lasts little less than 2 hours. The tour guides (and horses) are well aware about the antecedent of the locales and landmarks. You have to switch carriage in between and finally get an option to visit the Fort Mackinac, for which ticket has to be purchased separately. You can take a leisurely and quick walk back to the downtown from Fort without the carriage if you do not have any issue with walking on steep slopes.
