An oasis of tranquility, The Japanese Garden offers a perfect balance of tradition and modernity. Carefully designed, the garden was fashioned after strolling gardens of Japanese 18th- and 19th-century feudal lords--the type also known as "wet garden with promenade." Its originality also lies in the fact that it uses water from the adjacent water reclamation plant. Enjoy vistas from the stony bridges and winding footpaths while smelling the fragrances of seasonal flowers and manicured trees throughout the year. Admire the rock work of the Zen meditation garden. At the end of the path, have a cup of tea in an authentic tatami tea house. You enter the Japanese Garden after stopping by the gift shop to buy your tickets. The garden itself is very pretty ,with lotuses, koi fish, ducks and more critters. There are benches in the shade that let you have an overview of the garden. Good place to take pictures and go on a stroll
Our friends had their wedding here in October and it was magical. The Japanese Garden Tea House provided an intimate venue for family and friends. We felt like we we were part of the ceremony. Wonderful Afterwards, we were able to explore the garden and take some beautiful pictures. The ducks with their ducklings were so cute and the stream with its little waterfall was so serene and peaceful. We will be going back and exploring more of this beautiful and zen garden.
