Heisler Park is the place to spend a day by the ocean. The park is on the cliffs above the sea, and from there you can easily access the beach below. Picnic areas and barbeque stands make the park a great place for family gatherings. There are numerous benches, pathways, and grassy areas. Many artists flock to the park to draw inspiration or display their talent. Pets are welcome, and you'll see plenty of people walking their dogs. Public restrooms are available, and you can find places to park on the streets bordering the park. Magical place.... coastal views compared by a local to Hawaii. Also make time to go to the Beachcomber...a step back in time with an amazing menu .... 😋

Probably the best way to visit this park, especially during peak times, is via the Laguna Trolley. Trying to find parking may be stressful.

Absolutely stunning! The park is in a beautiful location and overlooks the beach and gives you a great view of the sunset. I have been there at least 50 times and every time I have gone there has not been any trash laying around the floor. I will say that it is difficult to find a parking spot but when you do find it the reward is magnificent! There is also a path that leads you down to the rocks where you can stand on the rocks that you see from the beach. There are several great spots for you to sit and have a picnic and overall it is just a beautiful area. One of my favorite spots to go to!

Both my wife and I decided to take our two daughters down there. For us it was only an hour and half drive, but our kids loved it we didn't really look into were the park was or any of that. We decided to wing it so we found a nice little beach not to far from a restaurant called the cliff, which was really good as well. But both of our girls were so happy to see and feel the sand and to see the ocean, since we live in the mountains this was a different world for them. But what we saw of the park and heard definitely going to be going there again.
