  • Brought friend who used to be a volunteer fireman. Pretty cool place. A bit tight but very interesting
  • MUST STOP HERE if you're visiting the Kingston area. The museum has so much to offer and alot of interesting things to look at. Upstairs is definitely a must see too. Lots of gorgeous pieces and interesting history. We visited during covid and the flow of everything was great, open doors to the fire hall etc. But what really made this an excellent stop was the lovely woman running the museum that day. She was an absolute treat. She told us some interesting stories and facts, talked to us one on one about local events and places to check out and my favorite thing of all, she was amazing with all the little ones that were there visiting. She was very kind, energetic and really captured their attention which is so important for children in a museum. And to top it all off she was listening to a scanner (which made the experience feel that much more authentic) and told us she was once a first responder, now in health care and her husband is a first responder. So we want to thank her for her families service. What a wonderful little stop on our adventures through Kingston.
