The museum preserves the history of American jazz music, with exhibits on Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and others. Nested within the museum is a fully functioning jazz club, The Blue Room, which holds live performances multiple nights a week.

    Jazz is not my favorite music genre, but this museum gave me the opportunity to immerse myself. As others mention, the initial focus is on the 4 jazz greats and then there is an interactive section.....  more »

    Didn't expect much due to size. Was completely floored by how well the material was well researched and organized. It took me two hours to actually get through Louis Armstrong and barely started Bird. Wasn't able to finish, since I scheduled too little time for it and family was already waiting outside. Recommend scheduling a whole day for Jazz enthusiasts. Small, but totally worth it.

    Incredibly kind staff! Lots of fun exhibits about a lot of different musical artists. Some interactivity which was really cool. Blue room is beautiful.
