The gardens were just beginning to bud out and the spring flowers and flowering trees were so pretty. There were some areas were blocked off and sadly the butterfly house was closed. Loved the water..... more

Beautiful, well kept gardens. Lots of walking trails. Plants are well identified and kept. Staff is very friendly. Butterfly House is beautiful with many varieties of butterflies you can observe up close. If you sit still, you may be lucky enough to have one land on you. The Children's Garden is amazing! There are facilities are well placed throughout the Garden so you are never far from water or restrooms. Lots of shady spots to hang out on hot sunny days.

The Garden is a great place to visit for flowers, birds and bugs, but this varies greatly for all three depending on the season, of course. It is generally quiet, is an easy walk and there are a range of things to enjoy. Solitude is a little difficult to find with the number of visitors at any given time, but most are fairly quiet. I wish they opened earlier in the day (9:00 AM is the normal opening time) when the light and bird activity are better for photography. I have attached a few pictures from early August.
