Smither Park, Houston

I first discovered this place the day after the Art Car Parade. They had all the cars lined up along the street in front of the park and there were judges handing out prizes to the car artists. Like the other reviews say, it is a really cool park on its own. Artists from all around are making the walls, amphitheater (very tiny), and pavilion into works of art. Oh and they have a really neat art installation called the Orange Show within walking distance.

I am definitely not an artsy person. But coming here inspired me. I am amazed at how creative people can be. I recommend coming to check this park out. It is not big but it is nice to kill 30 minutes just admiring the place.
