Picnic, walk, run, and have an active day at Kapiolani Regional Park, Hawaii's oldest and largest public park. Just beyond a residential neighborhood and near the beach, this 120 hectare (300 acre) park has large grassy areas, palm trees, and banyan trees. The park, listed on the state's Historic Register, houses an outdoor concert area for over 8,000 people and a zoo. On many weekends local artists showcase their crafts, which you can purchase. • Visit here at sunset to take your photos and you will miss all the crowds fighting for space at Waikiki. There is a lovely little cafe there with a great vibe.

  • The beach was close to our hotel. We walked around the area and enjoyed the view and the beach. We also took a lot of pictures. A few days later, my family went surfing. It was so much fun watching them
  • Very nice scenic park in the shadow of Diamond Head. Lots of space for various activities. We see people flying kites, practicing baseball, walking dogs, and picnicking. Plenty of shaded areas to find small breaks from the sun. So park, pull up a chair, and enjoy some relax time!
