Picnic, walk, run, and have an active day at Kapiolani Regional Park, Hawaii's oldest and largest public park. Just beyond a residential neighborhood and near the beach, this 120 hectare (300 acre) park has large grassy areas, palm trees, and banyan trees. The park, listed on the state's Historic Register, houses an outdoor concert area for over 8,000 people and a zoo. On many weekends local artists showcase their crafts, which you can purchase. Beautiful park at the foot of diamond Head in Waikiki on the Hawaiian island of Oahu ! It open to all ,open from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m daily ! You. May pass through the park on sidewalks and roadways at any hour of the day but cannot stop or wander into the grassy Fields after midnight and before 5:00 a.m.! Ample parking ! Has most of the parking metered and timed during the day hours ! But some of the parking is free along the beach side heading towards diamond Head ! It's real crowded in the evenings after work before dark and on the weekends from Sun up through sundown

During our 5 days in Waikiki, we loved it and came here everyday. Great view of diamond head and great open space for our kids to run around. The aquarium and the zoo are both right next to this park. Locals play sports and do yoga here. It's just so relaxing and great to let our toddlers run around and play. They didn't get bored of it at all.
