In 2006 winemaker Melanie Krause brought her years of experience in the Washington wine industry back to her hometown of Boise, where she saw the potential to make world-class wines in the superb climate of Southwestern Idaho and Southeastern Oregon. She crafts award-winning Viognier, Syrah and Tempranillo and more, proving that when the right climate, winemaker and the love of the land come together beautiful things happen.

We work closely with about six different local vineyards to ensure that we are getting the best possible fruit from our growing region (the Snake River Valley) and strive to make every vintage another reason to love Idaho.

Please come visit our tasting room/winery in Garden City, Idaho (5 minutes from downtown Boise). The tasting room is open every day from 11-6, and every Friday from 11-8.

  • The venue is very comfortable, with plenty of social distancing possible, inside and out. Wine tastings are reasonably priced at $10 and free if you buy two bottles, which is no hardship. We bought...

  • My husband and I made a reservation to taste Cinder wines. The location seemed like a warehouse from outside but once inside the warehouse look gone and the feeling you get from the comfy leather...

  • We arrived at 6:25 with a group of seven people, all hoping for a glass of wine. We had been hoping to visit Cinder for weeks and we were very excited. They refused to serve us anything because they closed at 7. I have never been to a place in Boise or really anywhere that was unwilling to serve a group of excited people 35 minutes before they closed. They didn’t even start to ask what we would want. We could have shared one bottle of wine? We could have purchased a case of wine. They could have offered any number of solutions or helpful words. Instead, they just said they were done serving for the night. I’ve never experienced customer service like that and I was very surprised and frustrated by it. I’m used to places who care a bit more for their customers and who try to make visiting a great experience. We won’t be going back because we expected more and we would get more anywhere else.
  • The staff is knowledgeable beyond something akin to a downtown Boise wine spot, has character and is one of the finest ambiances in Boise. Take a night to truly enjoy a hidden Garden City gem.
