Nestled in the old town heart of the city, the epicenter of the western cattle industry comes to life at Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. The stockyards today are the last of their kind in America and retain their Wild West charm. Stroll through the town to experience, Texas barbecue, real leather boots, and cowboy hats. Get down and dusty at a rodeo or western show, or slosh back a cold one at the old-time saloon. The Stockyards is a glimpse of old Texas with Cowboys on horses and Longhorn steer running downtown twice daily. Young and old will enjoy it. Gift shops, food, petting zoo, etc. more »

there were a lot of stores to go through if you like to shop (TAKE LOTS OF MONEY), most had cheap & cheesy leather items that was well over priced. ALMOST spent $12.00 on two taffies and two boxes of the candy cigarettes, the candy story is a complete rip off! I saw lots of reviews on parking...we had NO PROBLEM parking, if you can READ the signs, you can see where you can and can not park, it's not rocket science. We paid $10 to park, we received NO TICKET. An Indian or cowboy ask you at almost every corner for a $5 photo opp, it's annoying as hell! After all of that I was excited to the cattle come down the street at 4. Well....If you are expecting a stampede (GO HOME)!! After walking around for over an hour in the hot at hell heat at this place, I broke down cackling when the steer start their (at a snails pace) stroll down the road! I WISH I was making this up, but these cattle was going so slow, they might as well been sitting down! The older lady beside me said, "Well, maybe we can speed up our video to make it look like they are running through the streets." The 4 drunks beside me was more entertaining! Over all, I guess a nice stop to say you went, but my next trip to Texas, I'll pass on this!

Holy smokes!! This place is beyond cool and amazing! Like if you can imagine the perfect tourist spot and nightlife then you have already imagined the stockyards. Too much fun is what you'll have. Billy Bob's is a whole helluva lot of amazing and they get some awesome acts that roll through there! Want to take a date on a memorable night take them here. Thank you Fort Worth for the great time.
