    If you can only stop one place in the park, this is it. It has the best elevated trail and is absolutely gorgeous. We drove all the way in and made stops all the way to Flamingo. We're glad we did...  more »

    This is the main visitor center in the Everglades, so it can get crowded. It's beautiful though, with outdoor space and lots of information inside. Don't miss the map and geology/wildlife chronology.....  more »

    Because the visitor's center came before the entry gates, we thought for a second that this national park must be free! Ha ha. But the gates are after the visitor's center. It's a decent visitor's center. Nothing mind-blowing. I learned a bit about alligators. The bathrooms and gift shop are decent. The park rangers were helpful in circling areas on the map that might be interesting, so you should definitely make this your first stop!

    That place is amazing. So much to see, so many different landscapes, animals and vegetation! You absolutely have to stop to every trail identified on the map you get when you enter the park. Very beautiful place!
