Bosse Field is a baseball stadium located in Evansville, Indiana. Opened in 1915, it was the first municipally owned sports stadium in the United States and is the third-oldest ballpark still in regular use for professional baseball, surpassed only by Fenway Park (1912) in Boston and Wrigley Field (1914) in Chicago. Our Evansville journey planner makes visiting Bosse Field and other Evansville attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
It is the home field for the professional Evansville Otters of the independent Frontier League, as well as high school and American Legion games, and in the past hosted spring training for the Detroit Tigers, college baseball, high school, college, and NFL football, college soccer, and concerts. Six Baseball Hall of Fame members played for Evansville teams at Bosse Field during their minor league careers, including Chuck Klein, Hank Greenberg, Warren Spahn, Bob Uecker, Bert Blyleven and Jack Morris. The historic stadium was also used in 1991 by Columbia Pictures for filming numerous game scenes in the 1992 comedy-drama, A League of Their Own.

Tiny stadium. Only the beer is good. Games are very uneventful. Awkward half time games. Games take forever

We visited Bosse Field and took in an Otters game. Neat experience to see a game in an old ballpark. Well worth the stop to see when in the area- especially if you are a baseball fan or a fan of...

This field is legendary! When we got to stadium, we thought we'd just be able to see it, from the outside...but the gates were open to see this historical field! We were able to take pics of everything, & had fun re-creating lines from a certain famous movie! It was an awesome site to see, & glad we were able to visit! I live in Missouri, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to return! Hopefully next time, I can catch a game here!
Well-kept historic baseball stadium. Love the covered seating. Not sure how the whole layout for the concessions would be if it was raining. From what limited things we have seen in Evansville, this would rank at the top (haven't been to the zoo). So happy we took in an Otter's game. Would like to go back sometime during the week for a tour!
