Christ of the Ozarks stands as Arkansas' version of Rio de Janeiro's famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Built in 1967 by one of the sculptors of Mt. Rushmore, this statue stands 20 m (66 ft) tall and features a modernistic and minimalistic style with little facial expression. The statue is lit up at night. • Definitely one of the best "Free" things to do during your visit to Eureka Springs! The trolley will take you within walking distance and pick you back up, or it's located right next to the parking area. There's clean restrooms available near as well as a small gift shop. It was very cool to see in person, and the story behind why they had to cut off some of the bottom was quite humorous! It was cool to see all the birds resting on the top of him! The music playing and the cool trail to the water just added to the visit!
  • This is a unique visit in Eureka Springs. We just went to the statue but there were events going on on the property. Definitely a fun stop if you’re in the area. Stopped at the gift shop by the statue, very small but still a good stop.
