Featuring stained-glass windows, vaulted arches, stonework, and Gothic architecture, interdenominational Duke University Chapel provides a visually pleasing atmosphere for services or quiet reflection. First used for the school's commencement in 1932, the chapel has also become known for its music. Consider taking a tour of the building to see where Washington Duke and his two sons are entombed. Parking is available on campus. It the largest Church I have been to. It is roman catholic themed, it has a crypt with resting place for the founders of Duke University. You can light candles. Get your pictures clicked in the Hogwarts looking alleys. And at 5 in the evening you can here the bells rolling. It is truly mesmerising

Don't let the name "Chapel" fool you. This place looks like a straight up cathedral! If you love the architecture of a beautiful church make sure to go see this one if you are in the area. Toward the altar on the left is the resting place of some of the notable Duke family members. Also to the left of the altar is a staircase to the catacombs where some of the past university of duke presidents have been buried.
