Fisher Building is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , international travel planner Edition.
The Fisher Building is a landmark skyscraper located at 3011 West Grand Boulevard in the heart of the New Center area of Detroit, Michigan. The ornate 30-story building, completed in 1928, is one of the major works of architect Albert Kahn, and is designed in an Art Deco style, faced with limestone, granite, and several types of marble. The Fisher family financed the building with proceeds from the sale of Fisher Body to General Motors. It was designed to house office and retail space.
The building, which contains the elaborate 2,089-seat Fisher Theatre, was designated a National Historic Landmark on June 29, 1989. It also houses the headquarters for the Detroit Public Schools and the studios of radio station WJR.

Fisher Building Reviews
Beautiful building with an amazing view of the city! The weather was perfect and not cloudy at all! Inside the building, you can find a restaurant and the architecture is gorgeous. more »
We have been there to see numerous musicals and plays. Lovely setting and acoustics, good sight lines. The seats are what you would expect for an old theater— narrow, cramped, and not a lot of leg... more »
This is truly a beautiful building. There are a group of shops that sell a variety of possible gifts and necessities as well as the theater. A new thing the building has been doing is showcasing local artists with their inside windows with exhibits switching between painted and photographed showcases. They also have additional displays pertaining to history such as the current "Flags of the Fisher" that is going on July 2019. I also highly recommend going on the tour of the Fisher Building through Pure Detroit, or just walking around the first 3 floors (especially the 3rd where you can see the ceiling's incredible artwork up close. A must see if you are visiting Detroit from near or far!
Beautiful atmosphere. Acoustics weren't the best but the show (Cats) was phenomenal. The shops, throughout the building, were quaint and very interesting. I'll definitely go back again.
