Think more art museum then science museum. 2 1/4 floors of paintings and metal sculptures of various of breed of dogs. The first floor has gift shop and coat check behind the front desk. As you enter, you can do an activity that takes your picture and then matches a dog breed to you.... if you want to know... i got French Bulldog. The top floor, includes a pretty large library of books...the books range in levels from children books, to the Idiot Guide Series to text book. On the top floor there is also an digital activity to train a 6 month old dog. High points for me is the Sgt. Stubby little statue, located on the top floor. There is huge glass display case spanning the stair well from the ground floor to the top floor that contains a number of ceramic figures... these are more on the fragile side so I can understand why they are in this case. You should schedule about 45 to 60 minutes for this location. There are restrooms on the top floor so make sure you use it before leaving.

I had a great time here. There is a good amount to see and do here. I liked seeing the pictures of the different breeds of dogs and learning some interesting facts about them throughout history. I loved the interactive monitors where you could learn about the different breeds, train a dog and find your dog look alike (that was really fun). On the last floor there is a library full of dogs books and tables for you to color pictures of dogs. The museum is relatively small so you would still have a lot of time to do other things for the day. My only critique is that I wished the museum store lower the price or the magnets. I like souvenirs but $8 for a magnet is too much. Whether you are a dog lover or not you will enjoy your time here.
