This museum is a restored home for the purpose of displaying these nice collections of miniatures and doll houses. Since I have a fixation on miniatures and it was snowing, I thought it would be a... more »
This is one of the coolest places I never knew I wanted to visit. We were just burning time in Denver before heading to the airport when we found this place online. It's an old two story house in a residential area, but I had a blast! If you like little things like legos (especially Star Wars themed), tiny houses with tiny furniture in them, miniature baskets, crates, tea sets... All kinds of stuff like that, then you're going to have a blast here (minus the parking, which is kind of a pain). The lady running the place was super friendly and the museum wasn't crowded at all. My girlfriend bought a tiny picnic basket with a blanket and a wine bottle with glasses and other nick knacks. I bought a larger (about 8 inches tall) droid - the "Roger Roger" kind - from the Star Wars prequels made entirely of bolts and nuts and other metal scrap all welded together - I've never seen anything quite like it. If you're in Denver and either: 1. Like Star Wars 2. Like Legos 3. Like tiny things Stop by this place - it's cheap, fun, and fairly close to the airport.
That s place is awesome!! The museum is in a house that was built in 1890 according to the nice lady at the front desk. The miniatures and dollhouses are amazing and the details are incredible! The kids had a ton of fun, they also have a craft room and an old school Nintendo for the kids to play with... that was so cool.
