Experience the varied ecosystems of Colorado at Denver Botanic Gardens, an oasis in the center of the Mile High City and one of the first botanical gardens in the United States to focus on native plants. The 9.7 hectare (23 acre) park is home to seven different gardens and boasts the largest collection of plants in North America from cold temperature areas across the globe. With visiting exhibits, a sunken amphitheater for concerts, and two additional satellite locations, at Chatfield and Mount Goliath, there is always a new reason to visit these historical gardens. It was a hot day when I went (3rd week of April), but there still wasn't a lot grown yet. Lots of bare areas. My favorite part was the indoor area, might've been the tropical area? Very relaxing...

Always a great place to visit. Great place to walk around and browse the many plants. The tropical area is my favorite, but it's also beautiful in warmer months outside as well in the many different garden areas. Parking can be a challenge at times, but generally you're able to find a spot. There's also educational information and nice things for the kids to do and see as well. There's food here and many good spots around the garden to sit down and enjoy beautiful days in Denver. It's large enough and there's plenty to see that you definitely can spend a good few hours here. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting!

I’ve been a member of Denver Botanic Gardens for many years now. It is definitely one of my most favorite places. There is always something new and so much to see. New exotic plants, sculptures in unexpected places fitting in naturally and beautifully. I was thrilled to see the lotus additions to the waterlilies. Going to the Gardens is a beautiful way to get your walking exercise in and great for all ages. I love the Membership Appreciation Days where I am able to get in the Gardens an hour before it opens to the public. It’s a great time to take pictures.
