Colorado Symphony Orchestra Reviews
Enjoyed Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Talking to people in the lobby, there are places where you can't hear the movie apparently. We were ok in Orchestra 2. more »
For Valentine's Day my wife and I went to the Colorado Symphony for an evening of romantic music. The selection was very nice, but I kept thinking, why did I spend do much on my ticket? There is not..... more »
I've spent a lot of money with Colorado Symphony. I regret nothing. I've had more Good Times going to hear this incredible Symphony play, entertaining me to ends that I cannot even believe. I've used Symphony tickets as a gift for weddings, birthdays, whatever! The symphony in Colorado is one of the best I've heard and I've lived around the world I've heard the London Symphony, and honestly the Denver symphony is better. Support your local Symphony the Arts are not something that we should deny anyone access to. Especially children. I'm a big supporter of the symphony and of Arts in general but if you have not had a chance to hear the symphony in real time. To hear the symphony the way it was meant to be heard, in real time, in real life, you have not lived. The Denver Symphony in my book is the best deal in Denver, in the best evening out you will ever have in your life. My husband and I might not always get along, but when it comes to the symphony we are of one mind. That mind is this! Go to the symphony!
We have such a gem in the Colorado Symphony. Incredible musicians playing some interesting music, and there's something for everyone. For the classical shows, you can typically get $20 tickets near the front. Even if classical music isn't your thing, they show a lot of popular movies and play the scores live (Harry Potter, Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.). The orchestra also does some shows with popular music acts- particularly at Red Rocks in the summer. A lot of the shows during the season are family-friendly, and they might have pre-show activities for the kids (the HalfNotes program). Parking at DPAC is expensive ($12-$15 now, depending on when you go), and it can get backed up if you don't leave enough time before the show.
