  • I found Veterans Park in the heart of Delray Beach quite picturesque on a sunny spring day. Since I saw it last ten years ago, I can see improvements. I like the walk-through arbor and the mosaic tiled fountain. The veterans memorial remains modest. It was at this spot we took a yacht cruise of the Intercoastal Waterway a decade ago. They continue offering the fascinating trip. It's also the site of the historic Atlantic Avenue crossing of the canal which led to the development of Delray Beach.
  • This park is located on the intercoastal off of Atlantic Avenue. It has a small children's playground and an Helios Multi Gym exercise machine. The children’s playground is partly covered for a little sun protection, which is a nice feature. There is a large gazebo which often has people inside. Park benches run along the path next to the intercoastal. A path runs under the Atlantic Avenue bridge taking you to the other side of Atlantic Avenue which is an easy way to get across the street here or to get to Deck 84 for drinks or a meal. This is also where Delray Yacht Cruises leave from. There is public parking on the north and west side of the park. It's a nice little park to eat lunch, do yoga or bring the kids.
