The 552 hectare (1,364 acre) public park is famous for the dozens of freestanding red rock formations created by a geological upheaval millions of years ago. Hike through the lush green forests while admiring the towering 91 m (300 ft) formations set against the dramatic backdrop of snowcapped Pike’s Peak. Head to the park’s visitor and nature center to learn the history of the formations or to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy panoramic views of the park from the cafe terrace. Such a cool place! This is a must stop for those who are in the area or have not been to Colorado before. The visitor center is full of cool information and findings from the park. The staff was also very helpful to guide my husband and I in the right direction since we were not from the area. They also have information on other parks and train rides. I cannot wait to come back and see it again because there is so much to see and walk through.

Such a cool place to hike! The rock formations are so amazing to see, and the hikes aren't hard. The coolest part personally is that you can climb on the rocks! It's fun as you hike to climb all over them, but then there are spots where you can actually set up belaying and climbing equipment and do some pretty intense climbs. In all, a really fun place to hike and see cool sights, and it's good for all ages.
