On the front range of the Rocky Mountains, Pikes Peak - America's Mountain stands as one of Colorado's 53 '14ers'--mountains rising more than 14,000 ft (4,300 m). Visitor centers are located at 9.7 km (6 mi), 19.3 km (12 mi), and the peak's summit. These offer information, gift shops, and restaurants. To get to the summit, travel by car or train. The attraction's highway is notable for its dangerous twists and turns, as well as its unpaved, winding ascent on the last push up to the peak--but experienced drivers will enjoy the challenge. Or consider a ride on the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway, which takes you to the summit on a historical set of tracks. Top of the world. Enjoy the beautiful long drive to the top. Make sure you drink lots of water. The food is not very good, I would not rely on that. Gift shop was nice and they had medical staff on...

Listen, I was terrified to do this. I had read all this stuff about how scary the drive was. Was it scary? Yep, kinda. Was it worth it? Absolutely. You have to drive slowly anyway and everyone was...

Great scenic drive to the top with wonderful views and well maintained roads! The new Summit Complex is very nice and has friendly staff and great customer service. My wife had lost her ring, and we were able to speak with Melissa and Alex at the gift shop. They were holding onto my wife's ring! Thanks to the kind and honest person who found it and turned it in! :) This truly is a blessing and Pikes Peak is a wonderful tourist attraction!
