The world's largest urban zoo, Bronx Zoo displays more than 650 different species from across the globe--about 6,000 animals in total. The 107 hectare (265 acre) park features numerous sections and regional themes, including Wild Asia, Madagascar, African Plains, the World of Monkeys, and Tiger Mountain. You'll find a colony of critically endangered western lowland gorillas in their jungle habitat in the Congo Gorilla Forest, which showcases the zoo's commitment to conservation and provides residents with spacious outdoor enclosures. It was amazing experience. The habitat exhibits like the Congo Gorilla Forest and etc. offer astounding experiences and should not be missed. You can easily spend an entire day here. Great place to bring kids so they can explore a variety of different animal exhibitions and the wildlife! Highly recommend this place weather your a local or visiting from out of state, with or with out kids.

Amazing experience and we went their in fall. so many species to see and you can spend your day with kids easily. better to arrive early if you want to cover the whole zoo. We arrived on 10am and waited there untill it closed. seasonal monorail takes you through the Asian wilderness. It open May – October only. Closed November – April and Weather dependent. try to go in the monorail first If it is open, otherwise you have to wait more than 1 hour due to long line. Better to book your tickets in advance and wear comfortable shoes. Love the surrounding area too.
