The Playground at Caesars, a luxury shopping mall, was originally opened as an amusement pier in 1906. The first floor has been designed to look like the Atlantic City Boardwalk and--with more moderate stores--is a great place to shop for gifts. Ascend to the second floor to browse high-end goods from designers such as Burberry, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. The majority of the drinking and dining outlets are on the third floor. Half of this level is dedicated to a "beach" area, with wooden chairs set in sand facing a huge glass window that overlooks the boardwalk and sea. Don't miss the mall's fountain, which is the largest indoor water fountain in the world. You can catch its shows set to music throughout the day. The Playground at Caesars reviews
Playground Pier replaced Ocean One Mall, where you can get the best tacos in town. I have visited Playground Pier many times - love it. more »
I went to check it out was thinking of the Japanese restaurant there. But ended up at Guy's BBQ place instead. 70%of the businesses were closed wasted space if You ask Me. more »
Great place to go if you want to see a lot of closed stores. Years ago, when it was Ocean One, there were a ton of shops, an arcade and a decent food court. Then Caesars took over and created an "upscale" shopping experience. If you want to see what an epic fail looks like, go here. Otherwise avoid. It's another nail in Atlantic City's coffin.
A terrible waste of time and space. The stores are almost all closed. Such a beautiful location with nothing in it. I miss Ocean One Mall with all the wonderful shops. Definitely needs new ownership to make this work right for the city and people.
