Ponce City Market is a mixed-use development located in a former Sears catalogue facility in Atlanta, with national and local retail anchors, restaurants, a food hall, boutiques and offices, and residential units. It is located adjacent to the intersection of the BeltLine with Ponce de Leon Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward near Virginia Highland, Poncey-Highland and Midtown neighborhoods. The 2.1-million-square-foot (200,000 m2) building, one of the largest by volume in the Southeast United States, was used by Sears, Roebuck and Co. from 1926–1987 and later by the City of Atlanta as "City Hall East". The building's lot covers 16 acres (65,000 m2). Ponce City Market officially opened on August 25, 2014. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.For Ponce City Market and beyond, use our Atlanta trip builder website to get the most from your Atlanta vacation.
Ponce City Market reviews
We liked this spot. You can walk a lot and at the first level you can pick what u would like to eat from different type of restaurants: Chinese, Mexican, Cuban, Italian, American, Japanese, ice... more »
Love the views from the balcony and the ramen I had here was amazing. Prices are pretty high at Ponce, but just don't make it something the usual if you're looking to just treat yourself and not come.... more »
Gigantic marketplace with a wide selection of shoes and places to eat. There are two levels and you could spend hours here. A lot of the shops are high end and pricey. The layout is beautiful and it is kept very clean all the time. And the security/staff are mostly quite friendly and helpful!
This was my very first visit to ponce city market to check out Candlefish candle shop. I attended a candle workshop which I highly recommend. 4 star rating because of the lack of parking. Overall a very nicely constructed shopping center with plenty of shops to explore. Will definitely return and recommend others to visit and shop as well.
