The Fox Theatre (often marketed as the Fabulous Fox), a former movie palace, is a performing arts venue located at 660 Peachtree Street NE in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, and is the centerpiece of the Fox Theatre Historic District.A visit to Fox Theatre represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Atlanta trip planner to plot your vacation.
The theater was originally planned as part of a large Shrine Temple as evidenced by its Moorish design. The 4,665-seat auditorium was ultimately developed as a lavish movie theater in the Fox Theatres chain and opened in 1929. It hosts a variety of cultural and artistic events including the Atlanta Ballet, a summer film series, and performances by national touring companies of Broadway shows. The venue also hosts occasional concerts by popular artists.

We have taken the ghost tour of the Fox Theater which I highly recommend for visitors and natives alike. Historical information presented in a fun fashion that all ages would enjoy. Interesting to...

I love the Fox. The end!! It's beautiful, historical, clean, well staffed bars (although I would like a white that is NOT chardonnay!), acoustics are wonderful. I've been to many plays and concerts...

Definitely the nicest theater I've been in. It was breathtaking inside. From the photos, I actually thought the theater had a section that was outdoors but that was an illusion! The whole place is gorgeous and reminded me of Arabian Nights. The Ladies Lounge - holy cow, it's huge and you can host a party in there. The bathroom itself was not that big but the lounge before it was quite comfortable and fancy. Seats were comfortable and good leg room which is rare. Good view all around even at the top. Such a magnificent theater!

A great historical place for theatrical presentation. The Egyptian / Mooresh Architecture expands ones eyes as you walk through. The stage presentation of the Temptations Ain't To Proud to Beg was a hand clapping, five part harmonizing, microphone step away rendition of Motown's Temptations. From the storyline of all the members of the group to musical samplings that brought back memories of old school R&B partying. The seating was quite comfortable, visuals were good from front to back of the theater. The acoustics in this old structure was spot on. From the vertical Fox marque outside to the slanted floors that leads to the stage the visuals were a throwback of a time when groups were booked to preform and showcase there style, talents, and classy showmanship. The lighting enhanced the performance, what a thrill. At times it was more applause heard from the balcony than the main floor which added to the ambience inside this theater. Excitement from days gone by was felt by all.A great place to take in the memories of a show palace. Libations and food was available for your enjoyment. Ample parking was inside and outside with a short walk to the front door. If you are a patron of the arts get a calendar, stop by and see a show. I' m sure to see you there !!!
