Covering more than 12 hectares (30 acres), Atlanta Botanical Garden offers the chance to walk among a large collection of rare plants. The garden complex splits up into multiple smaller exhibits, including a Japanese garden, a rainforest section, and a desert. View the most diverse orchid collection in the country, kept healthy by a special climate-control system that mimics the flower’s natural environment. Explore a forest from an elevated pathway 12 m (40 ft) high on the special 180 m (600 ft) long Canopy Walk. The entire complex is mostly outdoors, so dress appropriately. I love these gardens. 30 acres of winding trails, gardens tucked away and a surprise to find. Because of the pandemic, they had timed entrances but many people stayed a long while. Which meant... more »
My family loves this gardens. It's worth your money and time, as year round - it never disappoints! They have small snack bars and a very nice gift shop... But my new favorite place is the Children's garden! They have a tiny water park for the children to play in, with bathroom facilities and a water bottle filling station right next to the Children's park! A jungle gym, if the water isn't your child's forte....this is simply a very splendid way to spend your day!
Beautiful and amazing botanical garden with host of edible plants, orchids rare specimens from across the globe and exotic plants in tropical and desert environments! Though it was a pricey adventure but well worth it. There is a lot of walking involved but again well worth it. Plenty of plant sculptures to see. Make sure you see all the beautiful sculptures. The garden is well maintained and clean with many photo opportunities. Try to avoid going in summers, it’s too hot. Recommended for three to four hours to roam and explore it.
