Yellow Rose of Texas
Known as "The Yellow Rose of Texas," Amarillo was once a series of ranches. It is a true western town, with a series of canyons to the south and large expanses of open land. Events in town celebrate the life and legend of the cowboy, such as the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo, in operation since 1921, which brings cowboys from all over the United States.
